Step 2: Planning
Once you make the decision to engage us to build your new home we will meet and, together, develop the project budget and design. This is the key advantage working with a design and build firm — being able to simultaneously develop the design with the project costs. You can choose to save money in one area of your design and add in others to give you the most for your money. This stage is finalized by your approval of the design and budget for your home build project.
Step 3: Pre-Construction Meeting
At a pre-construction meeting we will discuss the plan for your home project, the schedule, and any special needs, requirements, or precautions relating to pets, children, security, etc.
Step 4: Team Selection
Your project will be professionally managed and run by two key team-members — the lead carpenter and Project Manager. The lead carpenter is in charge of the construction site. The Project Manager is responsible to engage all trades people, scheduling, major construction elements, such as foundation pouring, framing completion etc., and deadlines. If you have any questions or concerns during the project they will be more than happy to answer.
Step 5: Project Build
This is the actual construction of your home or project. Some days there will be many things happening all at once and others a few trades people will be contributing to finishing your project.
Step 6: Project Completion
Welcome to your new home! Time to start hanging pictures and placing furniture. It will certainly take some getting used to your new life — it was definitely worth it. See some examples of new homes that we have done for our clients.
